Hi Ruth,
I have studied Mr. Sutton's info on this branch of the family. I'm very interested in this branch of the Lawry's. The Vital Records of Topsham Maine (R929.374 T 629V) Vol.1 Page 114 shows the following: Samuel K. Lawry b.11/8/1801 Anson, Me., Martha A.(Flagg) b.4/22/1803 Topsham, Me., Calvin E. b.6/5/1826..but died in infancy, Calvin E. b.3/24/1828..died in Minn.(VolII), Charles H. b.6/12/1830, Samuel b.8/24/1832,Martha A. b.6/24/1834, David F. b.3/9/1836,Robert W. b.1/15/1839, Mary L. b.3/20/1841,George F. b.1/17/1843, John b.1/7/1847.Samuel & Martha m.1/26/1826 - Samuel was from Wiscassett & Martha was from Topsham. Samuel "is" the son of Samuel & Rachel (Hilton) Lawry of Wiscassett. Mr. Sutton did an impressive amount of research on his book (most of it is accurate); but made 'some' assumptions due to lack of available info. Samuel The Patriarch b.1735 & d.1795 (buried in Friendship) had 2 sisters: Abigail b.1746 & Dolly b.1748. Their father, Samuel b.1706 d.unk, unlikely to be able to sire another sibling at the age of 95. Your Samuel is a possible son or gr.son of one of S.T.P.'s cousins of Newcastle, N.H.: Thomas b.1736--Edward b.1742--Stephen b.1751 - I'm not sure, as I haven't gotten to 'that' line as yet. E-mail me, and we can trade info: [email protected] - hope this helps - Mert
