Hi Angela, My Nan told me in a random conversation many years ago that her father's (My Great Grandfather) middle name was St Helier named after where the family had come from. Little did I know that this one piece of information would take me to where it did!
The family originate from St Heliers, Channel Isle, Jersey. I managed to find a local researcher to assist me. Its my Great Grandfathers mother who is the Le Boeuf - Jessie Le Bouef born 29 march 1863. I believe that her father (Elie or Elias Le Boeuf) was your James Le Boeuf's brother. I do have James and Lousia on my tree.
Here are some extra details for you -
Jean Le Boeuf married Jeanne Alexandre (no dates known) They had at least one child Philippe Le Boeuf Philippe Le Boeuf was baptised 18/5/1790
He married Jeanne Anne Le Geyt on 2/8/1811
He was buried in St Helier, Jersey on 1/3/1835
Philippe and Jeanne Anne had the following children Elie (Elias)(1818-1890) - my link Eliza(1813-dec.) Jane(b.1812) Phillipe(b.1814) George(b.1815) Jean (John)(b.1816) Betsey(b.1819) Anne(b.1821) Charles(b.1822) Louisa(b.1823) James(b.1825) - your link Mary Ann(b.1829) William(b.1830) Frederick(b.1832)
