I am not related. Just posting this for anyone interested. - - - - LEDERMANN / LEDERMAN- - - in recognition of his military service - Hanns Martin LEDERMANN a U.S.Army veteran of WW2 (a "Jewish serviceman"), died at age 45 in Ohio.
Hanns Martin LEDERMANN was born in 1919 Germany (OR in Danzig / Gdansk, Poland). He died too young, at age 45, his wife Sherrie age 45 and son Gregory age 15 all died December 3, 1965 at home in Lyndhurst, Cuyahoga, County, Ohio. I wonder why the whole family died on the same day (a fire? or an accident?)Hanns LEDERMANN was the foster son of Julius FRYER and Winifred (MICHAEL) FRYER of Cleveland, Ohio who are both buried in Mayfield Cemetery inCleveland.
By August 18, 1941 Hanns was a US citizen. He enlisted September 25, 1941 in the U.S.Army in Cleveland, Ohio at age 22 (a salesman with 4 years of high school). He served in Germany; was a T/Sgt.He married in Cuyahoga county, Ohio in 1943-1944 (probably Sherrie R. HILL).
