I think you're correct here, even more now.James son of William Jr. lived in Sullivan Co. and there's a nice write-up on him in the Indiana Rev. Soldiers book.I can give you the list of children from that write-up; some of whom must have been Jenny McFadden's.William b. 12-29-1786; Samuel d. 1875; Joseph m. 1810 Nancy Gill; Margaret m. 1810 James Lisman; Nancy; John Wesley d. young; Elizabeth; Sarah b. 1804 (first white ch. b. in Sullivan Co. IN)m. Wm. Cartwright; Melinda.
I hope that helps.I did not write down the full citation on the copy I made of the entry for James Ledgerwood, as he's not my direct line. But it's not hard to find in libraries, Soldiers of the Am. Rev. buried in Indiana, I think is the full title, and his bio is on p. 63.It says he m. in botetourt Co. va; and that he sold his liv. Botetourt Co. then went to Lincoln Co. Ky; and to Ind. in early 1800s, and was 1st settler of Sullivan Co. where he had Ledgerwood Fort near Carlisle.Info provided by Mrs. Glenn E. Wheeler of Vincennes, Indiana.Hope this helps.
