Some follow up information: Checked the Ellis Island Records (EIR) and found that Angelina Furgonnelle came to the US (New York) on Oct 25, 1920 when she was ten years old.The records claim she last resided in Mendicini, Cozensa, Italy and left on the ship La Savoie from the port of Le Havre. The record also lists the following people were with her:
Adelina Calvello, mother, age 47 Jolando Furgonelle, sister, age 4 Letzia Furgonelle, older sister?, age 28
EIR also states that they were coming to the US permanently and that Adelina was going to be with her husband, Guiseppe Furginele, who was living in Monaca, PA.As you can see, there is some discrepancy with spelling in the EIR.
Angelina's future husband, Mario LeDonne, came to the US on Dec 22, 1920 at the age of 20.The EIR states his last residence as Pescocostanzo, Italy and left aboard the ship Duca d'Aosta from the port of Napoli. He was either by himself or with a friend (from the same town) by the name of Riccanlo Cocco. Not sure about this. The EIR says he was coming to the US permanently to meet up with his brother Concenzio (Concezio?) in Farrell, PA.Additionally, it also notes his father Francesco (Frank) LeDonne as a relative in his home country/town (I guess Francesco returned home for his wife as you'll see below.
Checking further into Mario's brother, Concenzio, he came to the US in 1914 at the age of 16.Last residence was Pescoslanya, Aquila. He came along with him was his father Francesco, his father, age 46, and Francesco's wife is listed as Loreta Di (unreadable). The EIR says they were going to stay with Francesco's cousin Antonio LeDonne who was living in Farrell, PA.
