My daughter in law has recently been given an old Photograph Book and we would like to try to identify the people. There is a picture postcard with a message signed by BEULAH SAULS. The card is addressed to Mrs. D. E. Lee, Coward, SC, R.F.D. #2. We believe that to be Susannah (unknown) Lee (b. c1853), wife of DAVID ELI LEE (1850-1920). They had no children but my DIL's grandmother, Bertha Lee, lived with them. [all proved by census] BEULAH SAULS addresses "Hello Cousin Sue" & signs "Your Cousin." The postmark is not completely readable but it begins DARLIN(assume -GTON, SC), JUN 12, 5:30, (no year); One Cent Postage. The picture of Beulah shows a young girl,(maybe 20s) white blouse, long black skirt.
Bertha Lee was d/o ISAAC LEE & Nancy Caroline Taylor. Bertha married DANIEL LEE, s/o WILLIAM McK LEE & Julia Kirby. These LEE families were in Old Clarendon, SC, which in 1888 became Florence Co, SC. I hope to post some of the pictures on Clarendon, SC, GenWeb. Please check the pictures to see if you can help identify.
