Hi Cynthia, David Lee here, Lead Administrator of the Lee DNA Genealogy Project hosted by Ancestry.com. There is also a project hosted by FTDNA and there is a project that pulls data from these project without permission of the administrators, but sometimes with the permission of the Y-DNA donor. In order for someone to have access to the Ancestry or FTDNA Project data, you must have administrator permission AND the permission of the donors. The information is private and controlled by the donor. With all that said, the Project attempts to post the PROVEN line of an individual. When someone asks to be part of our Project, we ask them for their Proven and Believed Lee line. One of our researchers, depending on the line will review the information. The Y-DNA testing will usually tell us which Lee line they are part of, and then, direct their research. If you would like to discuss this further, email me directly at email@example.com. Good Luck!
