Hi John, I haven't received an e-mail yet, but I just checked and found that you'd replied to my last post. I have a little more information-all under the name Kinion. James Kinion, the son, did have descendents, though I haven't found marriages for any of them. The 1920 census, Bates Co. MO lists James and Minnie (Barnes) Leffler with children - Charles 18, Lucile 13, Lucetta 9, Doley 15 Flossy 2 10/12. There's also a Hershell Kinion, son of James Kinion & Minnie Barnes b June 5 1920 died Oct 4 1920 buried in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Bates. According to the 1900 census Nancy had 4 children and 1 was living--that would be James--she was living with him and he was at that time without children and a widower. Charles died in 1940 and is also buried in Crescent Hill, as are James and Minnie. I didn't find a death date for Nancy. In 1930 there's a Lucile Kinion, divorced, age 22, Gradate Nurse Hospital, with the correct birth places for herself MO, father ILL and mother MI, rooming in the home of James W. and Pearl Brady--Kansas City, Jackson Co. MO. With her is Selita 19 MO ILL MICH Saleslady Drug Store--no relationship given.
Jacob, William, Elizabeth (married Steven Staley), Rebecca and Nancy were all in Bates Co. I'm not positive how Martha Jane is related--I assumed she was a sister, but have not been able to locate her in a census with them--she died before Jacob, so was not named in his estate.
I have a little more, but will wait for your e-mail. Catch you later--Kathy
