Hi Casper Thank you for the information, please be aware that this section of my research is only a branch, it is not my direct line, however as I am working on a project that hopefully will show many different branches commencing from William Leith and Jane of Mar I am very interested to work together.
Yes I agree that George Leith (1720-1810) was a Royal Naval surgeon, there is some information on his in the National Scottish Archives, I also found the article on Liverpool House.I am not sure that his wife was Mary Baker, I read an article some three years ago that he married firstly Mary Leith, secondly he married a Mary, based on the information I read I beleive that she would have been Mary Underwood. (I wil try and find a copy of the information for you when I have the time).
If you have established a link for George Leith to Alexander Leith/Davidson, you are brilliant, please supply me the scource of this information as I would like to research it and then comment. As you know Alexander Leith/Davidson did have a George Leith and the time period fits.
Will check out Rev. Lockhart Leith.
Re:Frederick William Leith, there is further information "Walmer's Past"A history of Nevill Gardens, Upper Walmer" if you google this I am sure you will find the article it related to Violet Mary Turner who purchased land from FREDERICK WINGFIELD LEITH.......
Back to Frederic William leith, he had children, accordingly to what I have read he married twice, his first Unknown Wife produced the children, his second wife was Jane Ball Bradley.
Children of the first marriage:
Frederick Wingfield Leith b 1872 married Florence Gertrude Unknown.
Florence Leith b Abt 1878 in Walmer Parish, Kent England died 15 May 1953, marriage 17 June 1899 in Walmer Parish, Kent England.Spouce" Reynell James Pack-Beresford.Now you will have many many descendants that will link back to the core tree.Reynell James Pack-Beresford was very well known and you will be able to google his family information, it is readly available on line.
Casper, there are many holes in this branch that need to be looked at, I would be very happy to work with you to try and find information.
