Hi Shari, I can't answer your questions re Katherine Adkins Lemasters, however, there is one major correction that needs to be made. Also, I'm glad to see you're looking for proofs.There are far too many false statements being posted as true.
There was no "Joseph Lemaster" of record in the the early 18th century.The one mentioned in "Lemasters, U.S.A. 1639-1965" with a supposed documentary citation concerning Grand Jury duty in 1728 and who has had various wives and children ascribed to him, was NOT a Lemaster at all.
He was Joseph LANCASTER, and the Grand Jury duty was in 1782.HE DID NOT MARRY CATHERINE WARD. Nor is there any evidence I know of to prove the existence of any other EARLY 18th century Joseph Lemaster.
