Is there any consensus of opinion among you Lemleyresearchers as to Sarah Elizabeth Lemley, (b. 1763- d.1793), wife of Benjamin Dye, possibly being the eldest child of our George Lemley and Catherine Yoho? The old Lemley researchers, Alvah J.W. Headlee and Denver Clayton Yoho, did not list Sarah Elizabeth Lemley as a daughter of George Lemley and Catherine Yoho in their respective genealogy books If George and Catherine were married in 1762, there is a two year gap between their marriage date and the birth of John L. Lemley in 1764 which could be explained by the birth of Sarah Elizabeth in 1763.These people back then didn't wait around to have kids. They had their first child close to their wedding date, and another child every two years thereafter like clockwork. What else was there to do in the evenings if you didn't have television? Also, Sarah died twenty years before George, and therefore she probably would not be listed in his Will which is where thecurrent listing of George and Catherine's children comes from.Sarah's three children (George's possible grandchildren) were not mentioned either. Has anybody found any proof or does anybody have an opinon one way or the other?
