Ike Forester posted a follow up on June 18, 2007, saying this entry was not in the William Lenoir Form Book but on a later inserted sheet in a different handwriting. So the author may have been wrong, perhaps as to both Wiiliam's grandfather and his grandfather's wife. This may be the origin of so many entries that Isaac Lenoir married Ann Oldfield, for which I have found no documentation.I do not find an Ann Oldfield, daughter of John Oldfield, in New York who could have married Isaac. Also, Isaac Lenoir "and family" were admitted to New York in 1696 so it appears Isaac was already married when he arrived in New York.I do not find adocumented John Lenoir in the early records that could be the father of Thomas. So I believe the weight of the evidence is the parents of Thomas Lenoir are Isaac Lenoir and Ann (last name unknown).John Oldfield and Augustus Grasset, godfather of Isaac Lenoir, Jr., were associated through Grace Church in Jamaica, NY -- and John's son Joseph married Augustus' daughter Martha. But I find no Ann Oldfield in the records.
