St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, March 23, 1933, Baby Crying for Milk Saves Family From Fire, Hoosick Falls, N.Y. -- The poignant cries of a baby for its milk are credited with saving the lives of five persons.
The infant, Patricia Leonard, nine months old, awakened her mother, Mr.s John Leonard, who went downstairs to get the milk. She discovered a fire on the lower floor. She aroused her husband, and their other child, Shirley, three, and her mother, Mrs. Lillian Coonradt. Leonard bundled the baby in a blanket and the family fled from their home.
