Hi Nancy, sorry to say I'm not a cousin, unless your "Perry" connection goes back to EZRA Perry of early Massachusetts. That is my line. I can see where Painter was confused with Printer, that was my reading of the census writers penmanship. As far as the names, there always seems to be mispellings as the census takers write down what they hear, and don't necessarily get the spelling of names. I do strive to transcribe them as I read them on the forms but as you know, some of these forms are difficult to read. That's why we always need to be careful with secondary source material.
