Mrs. Mary Lesh, Bradford Native, Dies in Randolph
Mrs. Mary Fish Lesh, 89, resident of Bradford most of her life, died in the Beacon Manor Nursing Home, Randolph, N.Y., at 11:45 a.m., yesterday.Until illness resulted in her admission to the nursing home, Mrs. Lesh lived with her son, Marvin Lesh, 1168 E. Main St.
She was born here June 18, 1864, and was the widow of Warren D. Lesh, pioneer drilling contractor, who died here in 1922.Mrs. Lesh was a member of Hill Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church, its Ladies Aid Society and the American War Mothers.
Also surviving are another son, Charles, of Bradford: two grandchildren.Mrs. Paul Abernethy and Michael D. Lesh: three great-grandchildren, the Misses Carol and Susan Abernethy, and Sheldon Abernethy, and a sister, Mrs. Berdie Shaw, all of Bradford.
Services will be conducted in the Hollenbeck Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m., Monday by the Rev. Claude C. Grover, pastor of Hill Memorial Evangelical EUB Church.Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
