Some of your information is close to matching mine. My grandfather, Benoit Levy (called Ben), had an uncle named Bernard (also called Ben Levy, born c 1839 in Strasbourg) who came to New York 1860 or so.He first emigrated to Brazil and then to New York City. He had a daughter named Cecelia and other children: George, Rose, Alfred, Clarence and Florence (only one known to have had children -- married a man named Fisher). His brother was Aaron Levy (Andre Pierre Levy, born 1842) who ended up in Archbold, Ohio. They came from Niedersept or Seppois-le-bas in Alsace, France. My grandfather's half sister was Celine Levy, another was Alice Levy (married a Blog).Their father Emmanuel Levy moved to Switzerland.Another son Abraham Armand Levy is a mystery not yet solved.I have most of what I know posted at:http://www.msu.edu/user/pfaffhttp://www.msu.edu/user/pfaff
then follow links to genealogy and Levy information.I would be glad to exchange further information with you.
