"I am researching my ggrandparents who immigrated from Bohemia to Braidwood, Illinois in the 1870 time period. His name was Josef Levy and hers was Marie Nemec Levy. I have information on the family and am looking for more on them as well as what I believe is his brother Franticek or Frank. I also found a website on Saunders County, Nebraska that speaks of a Frank Levy who would work in Braidwood in the winters and back to Nebraska in the summer. Does this ring any bells with anyone?"
I am researching my daughter's familial line.. and I believe these are direct ancestors of hers.
The information I have is from an obituary for Mae Levy Wyman, attached, who died at 81 years old in 1968.It has Mae being born to Joseph and Marie Nemec Levy of Braidwood, IL.She would have been born in 1887.Here is another obit for their daughter that mentions Braidwood and that she had two brothers, Joseph and James, in Chicago.Would this be who you are related to?
