Joe; I must admit that I don't have all of the primary documentation that I plan to have some day for my Lewsader (Luzader) line. Janet Fuls and her mother Aline are descendents of Abel Lewzader, and have provided me with most of the information that I have about Abel Lewzader and his descendents. There is a marriage record for Abel Lewader to Mary Bailey (October 15, 1835) in Fountain County, Indiana. My ancestry.com census search engine doesn't find Abel Davis in Virginia or Ohio in 1820. It shows an Abel Davis in Champaign County, Ohio in 1830, but this Abel Davis is 15 to 20 years old. I have not found Andrew Luzader in the 1820 census, in any state. Indexes for the 1810 census of Mononaglia County, Virginia show Andrew "Luzarder"; The 1810 census image, which must be a compilation list because all surnames on page 425 start with L,shows "An. Luzarder" , and "An. Luzarder Jr.". I think the "An",may be an abbreviation for Aaron as well as Andrew. According to a lookup I had done, court records in Monongalia, show Andrew Luzader, and his wife Rebecca, sold 75 acres of land to Aaron Luzader in October of 1817.Andrew is on the 1830 census for Fountain County. Andrew Luzader was in the 6th Virginia Malitia under Captiain Hervey, and was in the battle of Norfolk, in the winter of 1814-15. My connection to the Faris surname is from Andrew's son (Andrew b. 1835), my gg grandfather. This Andrew married Mary Faris Nevins, June 12, 1859 in Vigo County, Indiana; (b.2, pg. 126). She was previously married to an unknown Nevins and had three Nevins children; William, Margret and Mary "Lucy" Nevins. Her father was Martin Faris from Virginia, her mother was Lucy (?). I have not chased after the Faris surname, and actually I have droped research on all of my families, in order to concentrate on my Cunningham line. I have seen on the internet that you have looked into Edgar County, Illinois in regards to the Faris surname. Oddly enough, while traveling the back roads from Clark County, Illinois to Edgar County, researching land records for my Cunninghams,I stopped to talk to a couple of elderly gents in the little villiage of Grand View, in Grand View twp. Edgar County, and one of the men was a Faris. I know the name has been in Edgar County, Illinois for a long time, but I have never tried to tie it into the Vigo County, Indiana Faris'. In case you are interested; the other man's name was Parsley, and he keeps record of the Grand View cemetery. You could probably reach him by phone, through directory assistance. The other cemetery in the immediate vicinity is Pleasant Hill.
