I also have in my possession an old family tree starting with Antonio Louzada alias Moses Baruh Lousada, Warden of the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogues b1663 (not 1665) d1699.
A smaller family tree shown in JewishEncyclopedia.com essentially matches a segment of mine. This smaller tree starts with two sons of Jacob Baruh Lousada who was a great-grandson of Antonio. They fathered a son each.
One of those grandsons was Moses Baruh Lousada d1826, whose grandson Edward Charles Lousada d1932 came to Australia when young, and one of his sons Aubrey George Lousada b1893 d1975 was my grandfather. Another son Benjamin Barrow Lousada b1880s d1950s compiled my family tree (largely I believe from Burke's Peerage).
The Lousada surname in Australia lives on through another of the grandsons of Aubrey George, namely Allan Lousada, who has 2 sons, one of whom has a small young family and the other is 10.
Another grandson of Moses Baruh Lousada was Herbert George Lousada, whose lawyer grandson Anthony Baruh Lousada became well known in the art world and I noticed a passage on him in Peggy Guggenheim's recent biography to do with his efforts to make acquisitions for the London Tate Gallery.
My family tree will take some work to convert into readily transmissible form if anyone wants to see it. I'm thinking of putting it into Excel format, unless someone has a better idea.
