The Jacob Louzada (Lossada) who was married 9 Nov 1698, in the Spanish and Portuguese Congregation of London (Bevis Marks), DID NOT marry Rachel de Almerda (Almeida).
Virtually all Luzadder/Lewsader/Louzadafamily tees, that include that generation, list them as man and wife. Everyone has accepted and used that information for quite a long time and I was one of them.
I have a copy of Jacob's marriage listing from the Bevis Marks records. Here is a direct quote from that record. "...Jacob de Lossada and Rachel de Abraham Lousada. 6 Kislev 5459." The spellings in the above quote are the same as the record, and the common date is listed above.
No big deal, just correct the entry like any record that needs updated. If you are interested in getting a copy of the Bevis Marks marriages record for Jacob and Rachel visit the Allen County Public Library (acpl.lib.in.us/) with your Internet browser, pick the "genealogy" sectionin the upper right side of the page. This page will have info on obtaining copies. For Jacob's marriage record you need a copy of PAGE 65, VOLUME II, PART II, ABSTRACTS of the KETUBOT or MARRIAGE-CONTRACTS of the CONGREGATION from EARLIEST TIMES to 1837. There are several volumes of Bevis Marks records make sure they understand your interested in VOLUME II.
My main concern is to let everyone know "new" data for the older generations has surfaced and they may be interested in it.
