Hi, I am trying to locate the birth parents of Adeline Mosher. She was born Mosher, unofficially adopted into the Benjamin C. Dake family of Middle Grove, Saratoga Co., NY, and married George Walter Lewthwaite, a Methodist and papermaker. They lived in Ballston Spa, Fort Edward, and elsewhere, finally settling in Center Falls, NY, upstream on the Battenkill from Greenwich, NY. After George W. died in 1916, she lived for several months at a time with members of her family. Later, she lived in a sanatorium in Teaneck, NJ.
She is buried in Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich, NY. Her headstone shows:
LEWTHWAITE MOTHER FATHER George W. Lewthwaite Apr 1, 1847, Feb 11, 1916 Adaline Dake his wife Nov 16, 1850, Apr 22, 1935
The following is from an obituary clipping (no date, no indication of the newspaper title, but probably from the newspaper that became the Greenwich Journal) found in my cousin Evelyn Barbur's house in Greenwich:
Mrs. G. W. Lewthwaite

I., and Oscar of Brooklyn; several nieces and nephews, and 12 grandchildren.
