My ggrandfather, Cornelius Joseph Leyden was born in Ireland about 1870 (father = Peter Leyden; mother Mary McCarthy) and emigrated about 1893 to Jersey City, NJ (via Boston?) where he married Mary McKelvey. They had three sons: Cornelius (b. 1905), John (b. 1911), and Francis (b. 1913).Cornelius was killed in 1916 in the Black Tom Explosion (he had just been appointed chief of police for Lehigh Valley Railroad in January of that year). After that, Mary McKelvey Leyden married a Mr. Black. He later died, and she married a Mr. Curry. This doesn't quite match up with your post, but seems sufficiently close that I thought I'd see if you think we're dealing with the same people.
