Hay kid - I don't think we have ever meant but I am your unclue Newts old kid.
My mom use to encourage me to find out about Dad's side of the family but I wasn't ready.I am now.
I am a whiz at research, just need to point me in the right direction and with online search it makes it so much easier.
Been just talking to dad and while he is sending me some of his sisters research of 20 yearsago I am curious as to what your research has discovered now.
In my town I am the third Likely here but Dad says we aren't related and gave me a new name and ths I found you - which Dad pointed out to me.
1.The name change that my Grandpa did and your great grandfather did - was in put through the courts or did it change by usage?
2.Where was it done - what state and city and when was it done. Was it before he got married or after he got married. The forms ask for a list of relatives we may be able to score that way.
3.I am thinking about joining ancestory.com we could all pool our information there and keep it update on one plce and one site.If you are interested, I will get a hold of my kids and tell them. They won't be much use as they know less than me and I am just beghining.
