Recently found Charles Lickteig, b: 1840 in Germany, service in the Union Army, during the Civil War.

Charles Lickteig, AKA Carl George Lickteig, my g grandfather, married Elizabeth Kalb (Kolb) in Louisille, Ky, in 1869.Brother of Joseph Lickteig, also of Louisville.
Applied for pension for service in the Civil War, as a Union Soldier on June 20, 1908.He stated that He was in Company B, 4th Regiment, Ky Cavalry.
Application No. 1375.076. (Available at National Archives.
Was believed to have enlisted in late 1861, in Jefferson County, Ky.
Pension request deemed "invalid" due to "age".
Grandpa Lickteig was a little Peeoed b/c my other maternal g grandfather Daniel T. Omer, received a pension, even though he was a Confederate Soldier. (On the losing side).
