Dear Steve,
Thank you for reminding me of George Jr.I did not have the will in front of me and forgot about him.I have not seen where Jesse proved the will, so thanks for that, also.On the 10th day of May 1752, Lunenburg was divided into two counties of which, one was Halifax. In my interpretation of the land entry records, I find that a John Light entered land starting in 1746 through 1757.Before 1752, this was Lunenburg. This John also had a neighbor, George Light.I have often thought these two could possibly be the sons of George (1744 will) since this John was actually in Lunenburg (due to boundaries) where George left his will and I had not found the middle child's name that was left out of the will, I assumed it could be John.I suppose that theory is no longer a possibility since Jesse proved the will, unless this was a middle name. What is your opinion of this? Also, a Joseph Light left will in 1733 registered in Lancaster Co.Lancaster was erected May 10, 1729 and records before this are supposed to be in Chester.Have you made any connection to this?I have focused most of my time on the Hawkins Co. TN Lights in the past several years, since that is my direct line and have not worked as much on the early VA ancestors as I once did.The records are sparse concerning William and Patience' descendants in Hawkins and very time consuming.I would like very much to get back to the early VA ancestors and am interested also in your book. Thanks again for your response and all your hard work.It appears it has paid off.Sincerely,
Margaret
