John,The Cemetery you are looking for is Bethel Baaptist Church & Cemetery, 8915 Bethel Road, Forsyth County, Georgia. In 2005 I did research on some of the Light family while working in Forsyth County and took photo's of the tombstones of Light family members in several different cemetery's in that area.Their Tombstones are inscribed as follows:Homer J. Light, Sept. 2, 1896 - Jan. 10, 1991 (he also has a bronze WW-I Military grave marker.Luckie B. Light, July 7, 1898 - Feb. 17, 1986.
Bethel Baptist Church & Cemetery were extablished on Feb. 6th, 1836.The original building was a log structure. In 1875 a new church building was built to replace the original log structure. This new church building is still in use.It was remodeled in 1987 and classrooms were added to the back of the building.
Some of the Light family were founding members of the church and donated 20 acres of land for this church to be built on.Sixteen of the original acres of land are still owned by the church.Four acres of land, behind the church to the east, was sold to enable the congregation to remodel and add on to the building.
The church is located on the east side of Bethel Road and the Cemetery is located on the west side of the road. The church location is approximately a mile or so west of the location of Obediah Light's ferry across the Chattahoochee River in the 1820'-1830's (which is now covered by Lake Lanier.
There are eight stained glass windows in the church that honor the founding members of the church.
I have pictures of the tombstones of all Light family members in this cemetery and pictures of the church and the two stained glass windows in memory of:#1 = Gilford B. Light, Mr & Mrs G.V. Bagby and #2 = Mr. & Mrs. B.J. Light, Ella Light & Ila Pierce.
