My guess is that your Jesse could possibly be my Michael Light's brother. Michael was born in Hawkins Co., TN (just across the state line from Scott Co., VA.) on 11 Oct 1812. He married Eliza Dykes. Michals father was Jacob Light born about 1780-1790 in TN. Jacob married Cythia Mansfield. His father was William Light born in VA before 1750 and died in Hawkins, Co. TN. His wife was Patience Morelock. My Michael is buried in Fulton Co, AR. Another connection that is similar is that two of Michael's daughter's were married to Thomas Rosier. The first was Lucinda and then Amy Light who was the mother of Ellen Rosier, my husband's grandmother. This Thomas Rosier enlisted in the Union Army in Rolla, Phelps Co., MO. I am not sure where they lived at that time but later they moved to Fulton Co., AR.just 10 miles from the Misssour border. Amy died and he moved to Texas. There are many Light family members in Fulton Co., cemeteries. Not sure if any there is still living. I visited with that family line right after marrying into this family in the 1960's. Of course I was not doing research as a new bride. I will check my Light family file and see if I can come up with more to share. You can click on this site to obtain my email address. I could mail you whatever documents that would help you.
