Information on Jacob Lightsey, b.1810, and his wife, Mary Hiers, can be found in the books Pioneers of Wiregrass, Georgia, Vol. 4, pp182-183, which is also quoted in "South from Georgia with the Randall Lightseys" by Beatrice Hardy. John Randall Lightsey, b. 15 Feb. 1850, in Appling County, Georgia, was the brother of my gg grandfather, Moses Lightsey, b.13 Nov. 1836, in Ware County (formed from Appling), Georgia. It has great history back to our immigrant ancestor, Johannes Jacob Leitzeit, and wonderful pictures. I am currently searching the Pfalzgrafenweiler, Schwartwaldkreis (Black Forest), Wuertemburg, Germany, area for this line. The other German lines I have which intermarried with this line, and I believe one of them even came across on the Griffin with Johannes Jacob, Johannes Rich (Ritch), are all from this area. I'll post whatever I find. Good Luck Cousins in all your research!
