Dear Arlene,I do not have a Willaim Clay Lile in my records. William Jackson Lile jr, was a brother to my James Hester Lile.the information I have for Jackson Lile jr, came from a write up by Roy W. Lile written 7 Feb. 1968. James Wesley Lile was born 14 Nov. 1837 in Tn.; died 8 Oct. 1896 Christian County, Ky. and is buried at the Rock Bridge Methodist Church Cemetery with his wife and some of his brothers, and children. Jackson married Margaret Ettie Grace 23 Oct.1856 In Christian Co., KY.Margaret was born 14 Sept.1834; died 3 Sept.1912 children I have for this couple:Nancy M. Lile, Mary Lile, Catherine Bell Lile, charlie Lile, James A. Lile and William Joseph Lile.
William Jackson Lile jr and wife Mary Hight/Hite are buried at Rock Bridge and his mother Elizabeth Hester Lile is supposedly buried there, but I have not found a marked grave for her. Jackson Lile sr, is buried Norvel Graveyard 1/2 mile north of Shelbyville, Tn. Jackson and Mary Lile are in the 1850 Bedford County, Tn. census with children Wesley 12; Nancy 10; John 8; Joseph 6; William P.(Pinkney) 3. Jackson and Mary Lile are in the 1860 Christian County, Ky. census with children Joseph 16; William P. 13; Rebecca Jane 9 b. Tn.; Jefferson Taylor 8 b. Ky.; Jesse Peyton 6 b. Ky. Andrew Jackson 3.b.Ky.; and Sarah Ann 5/12 ky. J.W. Lile 23 and Margaret E. 24 are also listed in the 1860 Christian County, Ky. census.
