Hello Gary, I would like to have a copy of the birth certificate! How interesting! I guess now I know Eliza's maiden name? I knew she was from NC and her parents from there as well. I obtained that info from the 1880 Federal Census for Brown County. Samuel, Eliza and their family are listed in this census in Robinson Twp, along with where they and their children were born. I was hoping that Baker was a link, because along with their family is listed a John W. Baker as a step-son. I thought it possible that Eliza was married before to a Baker. After having 13 kid's by the time she was almost 40, she must have been worn out. She is buried at the Rosehill Cem. in Robinson. I have a copy of the cemetary records, but could not find her grave. I did find another child of Samuel's that had died in 1884. The mother was not Eliza nor his fourth wife, Marie Jeffries. I have more on this if your interested. Have you found out what happened to Samuel yet? Phyllis
