Well, your lead paid off I believe. I was searching around on the LDS site and came up with a record where Samuel J Lincoln (b. New York with no actual birth date) married Diana (Diane) Brown (b. New York of Robert Brown and Lydia Dewey Brown) Jan 19, 1814 Belchertown, Hampshire and Northampton), Mass. They had her birth as May 7, 1794 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut.
They also show two daughters. Lydia A. Lincoln (b.about 1818 in Penue, New York d.Dec 29, 1871) and HANNAH J LINCOLN (b.about 1828 in New York. The right time frame for her. I think this gives us the connection between NY and MA. If they married in MA, they may have lived there for a time. They didn't show Bela (b.1822)to Samuel and Diana. Why, I dont know. But I think this gives us the connection between Bela and Hannah as possibly brother and sister. You said you had the record that gave Samuel's birth date and his parents. Woo-Hoo, a wonderful find.. I appreciate your help so much..
