"In an interview with Eldie Lint in DesMoines, Iowa at his home with Kathleen Moad the following information was writen down about Jacob; Eldie said that Jacob was born in Pennsylvania and was a close friend of and Eli Rowe who was the brother of Margaret Rowe (Jacob's wife). This friendship caused Jacob to come to Ohio and Indiana before coming to Iowa in 1846. "In doing this research I've found multiple discrepancies on Jacob Lints age. Contrary to his family's belief and his tombstone, Jacob I believe was born in 1832! Normally I don't trust census records but Jacob (and it is the correct one) shows up on 4-5 census and they all say he was born in 1832. Also the age given on the birth certificates of several of his children also show him being born in 1832! This may cause some anger in the family but I'm interested in the truth not fairy tales."
Margaret was the d/o George S. Rowe and H. Snellenberger.Jacob was the s/o David Lint and Mary Ann Berkey. You'll have to see George for more info about the Lint family. I entered the entire Berkey family into a database as a part of what I do for the OMII Genealogy Project.
If you have questions about her, then I would probably know as much as most others and more than most.
Good luck in what you find.I believe that there is NO one who can help you more right now than George (Flounder).Call or e-mail him and let me know how you make out.
