I usually don't rely on Mrs. Badger's work, Sweetser Linthicum was not a fan of hers, but I have some penned in notes about Vachel, etc. I assume they were put there when my parents visited Linthicum in 1959 or when I was there in 1993. On page 57 in the section labeled "Descendants of Gen. IV-5" there is a discussion of Slingsby Linthicum and mentions his son Lot under A. Vachel is A1, with A1a being "daughter married Tom Hunt." and the penned handwritten "d. Dec 31, 1899" after. In the margin is "Mary Ellen Jan 3 1821, d. May 30, 1902" also in pen and the same handwriting.
There are several places in this copy of Mrs. Badger's book which my parents got from Mrs. Wade Hampton Linthicum in 1959 where the inked handwritten dates and corrections are added.
