One of the problems with this book is that it has a really poor indexing system. I found several for Sandersby eyeball that were not in the index.
Mayo is named for its prominent citizen, a 19th Century Commodore in the U.S. Navy Isaac Mayo. He lived in the oldest house still standing in Mayo, Gresham, and seems to have donated his fame to many of the citizens. The Linthicums seem to have married into all the families they could find, but don't see a Sanders or Chambers.
Your best bet is to find a copy in a library someplace. It is from the Gateway Press, Inc. of Baltimore, 1996. Try the inter library loan people at your local library. The thing has gotten expensive, I see $35 for a 250-page book as at the low end.
