I am attempting to make sense of early Linthicum wills and records as published in various genealogies and find frequent mention of the surname Clark.
Hezekiah Linthicum Clark (a minor) is named in the will and estate proceedings of Thomas, Sr. 1699-1701(Badger)
Kinsmen Richard Snowden and Thomas Clark are executors of Hezekiah Linthicum’s will in 1722 according to Newman in AA Gentry (p458).
Eleanor Clark is named by Newman in AA Gentry (p459) as the granddaughter of Francis Linthicum in his estate settlement in 1768.
I have only the foggiest notion that maybe Eleanor Linthicum, daughter of Francis Linthicum and Eleanor Williams married a Thomas Clark around 1758 (web lore) and perhaps had a daughter, Eleanor Clark, but there has to be a connection much before this time.
I’m hoping some of the Linthicum scholars on board will be able to supply a few connections to help me with this problem so I can get past this minor road block and on to the serious business of finding out who Daniel Linthicum’s (1770 MD-1849 NC) daddy and grand-daddy really were.
I hope the answer isn’t too obvious but I do have new glasses for an excuse.
