Hello Ann:Sorry it took a few days to respond to your DR Theodore de Lipkau message.I have been having probs with the computer and couldn't respond to anything.Really appreciate your info; my posting had most of the info I have.My sister-in-law has more which she received unexpectedly from lipka sources in Mexico and Canary Island and I will be getting in contact with her here shortly.Major snowstorms here in Reno sort of disrupted our routines and we are just getting back to normal. My late wife Isabel was the de Lipkau in the family. Her brother Ross and sister Louise also happen to live here in Reno area. The Lipka/Lipkau line is as laid out in my posting which you responded to.Dr. Theodore de Lipkau born 16 Apr 1823 was a physician in France and passed away 10 Nov 1903.His son Eugene born 17 Aug 1857 was married to Lillian E. McCurdy. Her name was also said to be Strotz as you have.I am not sure if she was Strotz before Mccurdy or the other way around.Believe Louise has worked that so will check with her and advise.Have no death date for Eugene so if you find that, would appreciate.Eugene and Lillie were parents of Theodore Eugene born 1882 or 1884 and died 1930(the Lipkaus were fond of the names Theodore and Eugene).Mention of a sibling Vera is new to me (any further info on her or her family?) Theodore E. de Lipkau was married to Isabella Boyes whom my wife was named after.I was not aware of the marriage of your aunt Bea (Elizabeth Barnes) to Ted (Theodore).Theodore and Isabella were married circa 1909 and had a son Francis Eugene, my wife's father, who was born 30 June 1909.Someone had mentioned a divorce between Theodore and Isabella so your info makes sense now with a second marriage for Ted to aunt Bea.Any more specifics would be appreciated.Any more info on Lillian would also be helpful (you mentioned siblings).I haven't been working the de Lipkau ancestry for awhile so am a litle rusty on details but have never had it locked down properly. If I have been redundant to your info and have left out something specifically you are seeking please advise.I'll try to fill in any blanks for you and would appreciate whatever info you can share. Please feel free to respond directly to me at [email protected] as sometimes it is cumbersome to use the board for quick turn arounds. Thanks again and keep in touch, Jim Gaines.
