HAVANA - Delbert M. Lippert, 84, of Havana died Monday, Oct. 9, 2006.
He was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Mason County, the son of George Henry and Eva Ethel Davis Lippert. He married Illa Siltman. He later married Betty Skaggs in 1964.
Mr. Lippert was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific. He worked for Dana Corp. in Havana for many years and retired as a school bus driver from the Havana School District in 2003. He attended Assembly of God Church in Havana and was a lifetime member of the National Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors: wife, Betty; three sons, Alan (wife, Pam) Lippert of Pekin and John and Bob (wife, Ruth) Lippert, both of Havana; two daughters, Cathy (husband, Steve) Jones of Lincoln and Becky (husband, Joe) Anderson of Davenport, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen (husband, Bill) Blair of Petersburg.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Havana Assembly of God Church, the Rev. Paul Homan officiating. Burial: Laurel Hill Cemetery, Havana.
