1) List, Christian A., Cpl Co K; mustered Sept 11, 1861, as a volunteer; discharged June 11, 1865; born Aug 22, 1840; died Dec 2, 1925; a butcher, laborer, tobacco stripper from York; son of Christian & Fredericka List and brother of John List; married Susanna Ziegler August 4, 1867; children: Alexander Edward (b. 03/26/68), Harry Christian (03/06/74), and William Keech (b. 02/22/76); also reports birth years of 1839, 1841, and 1842; lived in Pylesville, Harford County, Maryland, after the war but relationship to Jacob List not certain
2) List, Jacob Pvt Co K; mustered Sept 11, 1861, as a volunteer; discharged Oct 13, 1864; born May 20, 1834; died Jan 8, 1909; a butcher from York; son of German-born parents Christian & Elizabeth List; married Sarah ?; children: Bessie May (b. @1884) and Emma (b. @1888); divorced Sarah in 1875/76; remarried Elizabeth Horner Kruse February 8, 1892, claiming he was 52 (he wasn't - she was 27); child: Jacob Ramsay (b. 03/28/1900); died at Pylesville, Harford County, Maryland; birth date highly questionable as he reported numerous ages
3) List, John Pvt Co K; mustered Sept 11, 1861, as a volunteer; discharged Oct 13, 1864; born Aug 5, 1843; died Oct 21, 1916; also served with the 195th Pa Inf; a butcher and railroader from York; son of Christian & Fredericka List and brother of Christian List; married Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Carter (d. 11/29/78); children:Rowena Barbara (b. 03/27/67), William John (09/09/70), Sarah Elizabeth (b. 08/07/72 - married William Zimmerman), and Claudine Virginia (b. 09/30/77); remarried widow Barbara Rebecca Fried Garver March 11, 1895; stepsons: James O. & David A. Garver; buried at Prospect Hill; illiterate; had an eye surgically removed @1900, perhaps due to the syphillis he was being treated for in 1865
