Thrilled to read David Valentine's info re Temperance Littell Valentine's residences.Still looking for more about her brother Ephraim, who reportedly also went to Ohio and died there c.1805. Am particularly interested in his wife's maiden name.
Will try to include any new data in the special displays planned by the Historical Society of Berkeley Heights, NJ, for Four Centuries in a Weekend, a celebration of the historic house museums in Union County, NJ.If any readers plan to be in the area Oct. 18 (10-5)and 19 (12-5), 2008, please do visit the childhood home of Temperance and Ephraim at 31 Horseshoe Rd., B.H., and learn more about their family and lives. The Littells are one of only 2 major families who lived in the Littell-Lord House and Farmstead (c.17 acres remain), so furnishings and interpretation are geared to those 2.
