During July 2008 we lost our home in the Northern California forest fires of that season. We have since rebuilt our home, and we have reassessed our genealogy records and website. The fire cost us a mountain of research and backup material, the kind of documents that we might call "proof".Most certainly, many of these documents were historical originals. They are all gone.
We still have the website and we did backup the database. But the magic is gone.We are retired people and we did all of this at our own expense, and we believe we cannot commit to a level of effort that established the original website. In other words, we are quitting.
There are approximately 36,000 individual identified on Lively Roots and we are reasonably confident of the accuracy there - - but you never know.We plan to leave the website as it is, there will be no updates, no activity, just a presentation of what we did.
We ran the associated families out as far as we thought reasonable which includes a number of Presidents. Please be aware that the "pedigree" file is the more accurate - when compared to the "trees".
If anyone can identify the person and his/her history per the gravesite in east Texas with the gravestone C. W. Lively dated 80 years before Mark Lively came to Virginia, we would be interested.
