There is certainly a Jewish branch of the Liverman surname. My family is of Jewish heritage- my grandparents were orthodox, grand-father born in Russia. The story is that the name Liverman was picked when they came to England in the 19th century as an anglicization of the Russian/ Hebrew equivalent. Some chose the more common Livermore. It's a very unusual name in the UK, with the only ones I know of being my direct family. There's a branch in Montreal, we believe derived from my Grandfather's brother, and others in the US.
