I am looking for for Evans Otty Lockard or Lockhart. His father was Walter Lockhart, mother was Jane Otty, brothers were Walter Otty, Thomas, and John Lewis. His sister whom is also missing, was Elizabeth (Betsy) Ann. Evans Otty was born approx. 1814 in Va. Elizabeth was born approx. 1817 (maybe later). The family moved to Washington County Indiana in 1817-1827. Evans is last known and listed on the 1830's census. Elizabeth married first a Wiliam Smith, and then Daniel Sullivan. She had two known children, William and Amanda. Her mother, father, and other brothers moved to Gasconade County Missouri in 1850's. With the exception of Elizabeth and her husband, selling her share of her father's property (to her brother) after the fathers death, nothing else is known of their whereabouts. Cannot trace Walter before Va. in 1790's. The war of 1812 his name is listed as Lockard on records. Walter also had 2 farms in Indiana, 1 in Washington County, the other in Jefferson County??? I believe he may have had familey living close to him in Washington County. Would also like to find whom Walter's mother, father, and brothers and sisters were. Any help is appreciated. Its driving me mad trying to find these lost siblings. We have a book on the generations of Lockharts from Walter. There may be someone looking for their past that stops at these. Anyone having a connection to one of the three, contact me at larryjmiller @ hotmail.com. I live in Arizona and can do little research except the net. I may have the dates off a little as I do ot have my material here with me at this time. Would also like to hear from the Lockharts that left Gasconade County Mo. and went to New Mexico, as they may have some hidden info that will fit in. Any help????????
