Fulton - Ralph C. Loden, 88, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born Nov. 23, 1922, to Robert C. and Mary Martin Loden. He was a longtime member of Greenwood Baptist Church. He was a self-employed plumber and electrician before owning and operating Loden's Grocery for many years. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, including service in New Guinea. He received numerous medals. He loved his companion and dog, Roxie.
Services were June 7 at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with burial in the Keys Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included one son, Wayne Loden (Jeannie); one daughter, Lanis Moore (Dennis), both of Fulton; one brother, Homer Loden of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Shelley Woods (Stuart), Michael Davis, Larry Moore (Monica), all of Fulton and Tammy Coltharp (Tom) of McDonough, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Willie Gaither Loden, who died in 2005; two infant siblings; and his parents.
