LOISELLE DR. ALBERT O., MD, born April 22, 1915 to Agnes and Albert Loiselle in Chicago, Illinois. Graduated St. Phillips High School, attended Xavier University and University of Chicago for under graduate degree. He received his Medical Degree from Loyola University in 1939 and married Irene Kocka June 17, 1939. He served In the Army as a Lt. Col. From 1941 to 1946 with one year at Brook General at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Dr Loiselle served his internship at West Suburban Hospital in 1940, Residency in West Suburban Hospital in 1941. After he was discharged from the service he served 1 year of residency at the V. A. Hospital in Dallas, Texas as Chief Orthopedic resident in 1946. Then served 1 year residency at Texas Scottish Rite in 1947. He Opened his private practice in 1948 as an Orthopedic Surgeon with P.M. Gerard, M.D and retired in 1992. He was assistant Clinical Professor at Southwestern Medical School from 1946 to 1958. He was President of staff at Methodist Hospital in 1957 and was a member of Western Orthopedic Association 1957, accepted to the American Board of Surgeons in 1950, Dallas County Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Orthopedic Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Texas Orthopedic Association, Practiced 50 years at St. Paul Medical Center where he was known as the "Golfing Godfather" of St. Paul Medical Center. Dr. Loiselle was preceded in death by his wife Irene Kocka Loiselle in 1987, his parents Agnes and Albert Loiselle, and his brother, Warren Loiselle. He is survived by his children, A. Dennis Loiselle, Bonnie L. Archie, Claudia M. Mercher and husband John, and David G. Loiselle; 8 grandchildren, Kimberlee Archie, Jimmy Archie, Brandon Archie, Michelle Mercher, Jack Mercher, Lauren Loiselle, A. J. Loiselle, and Mandy Loiselle; sisters, Lucille Freeman, and Dorothy Roth and husband John, 9 nieces and nephews and many caring patients. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Christ The King Catholic Church, Rev. Msgr. Donald F. Zimmerman celebrant. Entombment in Calvary Hill Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be George Branch, M.D., Jim McKinney, M.D., Ernie Poulos, M.D., Randy Rosenblatt, M.D., Charles Shields, and John Lemak. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Nelson, Gus Payne, Charlie Seay, Larry Flagg, Don Iglehart, Ed Haggar, Joe Haggar, Dickey Jones and Eddie Stone.
