Richard, has anyone contact you abt Elizabeth Lawler/LOLLAR & husb.WM.HAMPTON JOHNSON; who was your source of info. I'm still stuck with my JAMES LOLLAR b:1782 NC. I've abt decided he's the son of HENRY LOLLAR that died in KY, simply because his James was born in 1781, an his daughter RILLA was married to a Elijah/ James WARD. ON THE 1850 SMITH CO,TX census father JAMES LOLLAR age 68 is living with his son JOHN LOLLAR b:1817 TN, an wife Elizabeth an 6 children all born in TX.(Eli-1837-38,Mary-Wm W, Charlotte T.,Elizabeth,America) also living with them is WILLIAM WARD age 45 b:1805 a teacher.(he could be a nephew of JAMES, or son-in-law). Eli LOLLAR married EMILY BLANCHARD,when Eli died 1872 father John was still living, Emily married J.B.Jones in 1875, and this Jones married again in 1883 to *BENJULIA McMORRIS (*CHARLOTTE & John Thomas McMORRIS daughter, he was quiet abit older, they had 4 children, guess JONES died an Benjulia married again in 1896 an 4 more child). Also John T.McMORRIS brother Benjamin married Delphia BLANCHARD,I think Emily was her sister an they the daughter of FREDERIC BLANCHARD & DELPHIA. These Lollar,Blanchard,McMORRIS have alot of involvement with each other! The strangest thing is I've studied several LOLLAR/LAWLER families trying to make JAMES-1782 fit, he could be Henry's son instead of HENRY'S brother Jacob's(most beleive he's son of Jacob;an Hugh is Jacob's oldest son; James is older then Hugh) this has been a real puzzle to me!My John is buying land from ISAAC LOLLAR & wife SUSAN ORRICK; ISAAC's brother HENRY & wife JANE also live in the same general area; an they are thought to be the son's of HUGH G.LOLLAR, an HUGH the son of JACOB. I think my JAMES & JOHN were very involved in the moving out the Cherokee's especially in that part of TEXAS-1837.(into OK.) I went to the archive's an copied the 1850 census record, at the bottom of the pg it was written that their names may be spelled "LOLLAR" instead of LAWLER! All deed's an marriage records,an estate sales that I've collected has their named as LOLLAR an that's how they signed! Do you have anything new to add, or a thought on this?
