This John W. Loman was the son of ISAAC BENJAMIN LOMAN and PHOEBE ANN DAVENPORT. Isaac died in Kentucky and Phoebe married LEONARD FRANKLIN COFFMAN. John married his step sister ELIZA ANN COFFMAN 1853, Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky. Later the Coffman/Loman family along with extended family members moved to Gallatin Co. IL, then some moved to Jefferson Co. IL, then some to Arkansas and Missouri then some to Oklahoma Indian Territory), Missouri, Texas and points beyond. The 1860 US Census for Jefferson Co. IL shows two boys George 7 and Leonard F. 2 and a 4 year old girl, Nancy, living in the household of J. W. and Eliza A. Loman. The 1870 US Census for Perry Co. IL shows a 14 year old girl living in the household of John W. and Eliza A. Loman. Her name is Nancy. It also includes Geo. Q. Rebecca Geo's wife, Leonard F. John A. L. (Logan), Louisa F. Pellina (sic), William. in 1870 parts of Jefferson Co. was counted in the Perry Co. IL census. The 1880 census for Baxter Co. AR shows J. W. and Liza A. Loman with the following sons and daughters Paulina A. Wm. L. Flora A. Cornelius, Calvin T. It shows J. W. and Liza A. born in KY. Paulina and Wm. born in IL and the others born in AR. That is why you see so many children listed as the children of John W. Loman and Eliza Ann Coffman. John W. also had a sister, Zelpha Ann, that married her step brother, Joseph Coffman. I have a lot of info. on the Loman and some on the Coffman Family. I believe the Eliza A. Coffee you find in the history you discussed is just a spelling mistake made by the author. I have found names misspelled often in histories such as you discuses in other postings.
