Eliza is looking for her parents : on her death certificate established at Tours (37), France, it says she was aged of 85 y., and born at Windsor (UK). In her family, it is said that she married a french man, comte de Marolles in 1796 (she was 16) some where in UK. The couple established in France after peace of Amiens (25 march, 1802). At the CHAN Paris, Centre Historique des Archives National, they keep a "demande de passport" made in Year XIII (c.1804), by Elisa Hussey de Marolles, in order to go to UK to have judged an affair regarding heritage of her father dead. At "The National Archives", Kew, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 4DU, they keep the file Ref : PROB 37/80 Hussey v Hussey and Marolles Testator or intestate: Hussey Montagu, Edward, Earl of Beaulieu died in Dover Street, Middx. 1803-1806. The "Berkshire Record Office" at Reading had found nothing about her birth or wedding at Windsor around corresponding dates. I live in Paris ; London is not that far away, and I love this country, but ... Could some one be so kind to have a look to that file at the National Archives, and tell what is the relation between Elisa and Hussey Montagu, Edward, Earl of Beaulieu ? I know from all Peerage and other documents available on the net, that Edward Hussey Montagu, Earl of Beaulieu, High Steward of Windsor, Knight Companion of the Bath, had at his death on 25 november, 1802, "Heir apparent, none". In 1780, supposed date of birth of Elisa, his wife, Isabella Montagu, Dowager Duchess of Manchester, was aged of 58. Their two children died before him, and they are said "without being married". Who are Elisa parents ? Thanks for your help !
