1. You only have two children, Hugh and John Joseph, for Aaron London born 1784 in NY. Have you consideredNelson London as another possible child of Aaron's. Nelson Londonmarried Fanny Dupre (actually Frances Dupee) on 30 March 1845 at the Nissouri Baptish Church by Rev Salmon Vining? This was the same minister at the same church where Hugh London and Almina Huntly were marriedabout six years prior. Nelson and Frances had two sons, Arron born 1846 and John born 1850, both born in Nissouri Twp.
Nelson died sometime between 1850 and 1853 as Frances (Dupee) Nelson remarried to Daniel William Durance at Enniskillen Twp., Lambton Co., about 1853. Frances brother John had settled in Enniskillen Twp and if fact, Frances with sons Aaron and John lived with John Dupee for a short period of time.
2. There are at least two Land Grants for London's in Nissouri, as follows:
Loyalist Land Grants(1817 - 1832) London, Nancyof Toronto) - Lot 2, Concession 6 - 200 acres -granted on 16 June 1819 -Patent issued 29 Oct 1822 (thislot was purchased from a Mr AllenAustin Clipperton in about 1840)
Military Land Grants (1817 - 1834) London, Aaron of Toronto - West half of Lot 4, Concession 6 - 100 acres) -granted 17 April, 1820 - Patent issued 30 Oct, 1822
Let's take the latterLand Grant first. Do you know how Aaron (born 1784) may have qualified for the for a Military Land Grant? Note the patent was issued in 1822. Do you know if Aaron actually resided on this land?
Regarding the Loyalist Land Grant to Nancy London. I would assume this would be Nancy Wilson, wife of Aaron. Nancy must have somehow been connected to a Loyalist. Do you have any history here? Note the patent on this grant was issued one day after the date the patent was issued to Aaron on his grant.
The two grants were on the same Concession 6 (Lots 2 & 4). An interesting note is that Michael Dupee, father of the Frances Dupee that married Nelson London, resided on Conncession 6, Lot 1. That is, the Dupees and Londons were "next door neighbors" so to speak.
For reference, Michael Dupee was my 3rd great grandfather.
