Frederick W8 Longfellow, atty, was born Machias, Maine 13 Feb 1870, son of Clark Ratchford 7 and Amanda Brown (Gardner) Longfellow.Clark's generational descent to the immigrant is Cephas 6, Jonathan 5, Nathan 4, William 3, Stephen 2, William 1)He died at the St Andrews Golf Club, Mount Hope, Hastings, Westchester Co., NY 29 Oct 1938, where he was President and Chairman of the Board for many years. He is buried in the Longfellow Cemetery, Roque Bluffs (Machias area), Maine. He was married at the residence of her father, 475 Fifth Ave., NY 30 Apr 1901 to JULIA LIVINGSTON DELAFIELD.
Their dau, Juliette Delafield Longfellow was b Fieldston, NY 28 Apr 1902, and is also buried Roque Bluffs, Maine. She married say 1925 Redington Fiske, who was born 3 Dec 1898, and died 24 Mar 1969, and is also buried next to his wife.
This obviously is the Fiske connection you seek, but this link could not have produced a child in 1900, i.e., Annie Longfellow Fiske.
Coincidently, Frederick W Longfellow sold land and buildings in Roque Bluffs to Charles H Strong.
Finally, Frederick W Longfellow's sister, Annie (Angelia) was married to Frederick L Strong.Annie d instantly at Antigonish, Halifax, Nova Scotia in an auto accident 25 Aug 1934.Her husband, and son Frederick L Strong and Mrs Frederick L Strong were unhurt in the accident.
The John Alden link is via the poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The poets mother was Zilpah Wadsworth, and his maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Bartlett, wife of Gen'l Peleg Wadsworth.
Annie and Frederick Longfellow were 6th cousins, 2 generations removed of the poet; the common ancestor being Stephen 2 ---- which is pretty deep.Their children would be 7th cousins, etc.
As a good law student you need to do research and look at some sources for more detail which I have no time for e.g., John William Leonard, "Woman's Who's Who of America, a Biographical Dictionary of Contemporary Women of the US and Canada 1914-1915 (NY, The American Commonwealth Co), pg 791; New York TIMES obituaries appearing in editions of 31 Oct 1938; 26 Aug 1934 and 27 Aug 1934 concerning these names; Washington County, Maine Probate docket #1886, which is the "foreign" will (NY), of Juliette Livingston Delafield Longfellow who was residing 178 east 70th Street, NYC; Mabel Ward Cameron, "The Biographical Cyclopaedia of American Women, Vol 1, (NY, The Halvord Publishing Co., Inc. 1924), pg 262, etc, etc, etc.
