Dear Sandra,
Your descendants probably came from Sweden in that "Andrew" was a transciption of Andreas, but I am not sure if your descendant's surname was "Longnecker". Longnecker was a transciption of the Swiss Langenegger. The way to be sure is the Y-DNA testing. The Longenecker Family Newsletter has at the present time 10 participants, and three are presumably the Swedish Longacres and the rest are transciptions of the Swiss Langenegger. If you send me your address, I will send you the first page of the LFN which describes the Y-DNA test. Yes, the Y-DNA test is for MALE "Longeneckers." Even I can not participate (and females!), even though my mother was a Longenecker. Please send your address to me at [email protected] so I do not have to go to the library.
Cheers,
